For almost a year now, I’ve been living with two books. I’ve been writing them in parallel, slowly, between concerts, travels, stolen moments of silence, scattered notes, and questions that didn’t need immediate answers. The first one is Dopo l’ultimo accordo – Finestre sul jazz e sull’ascolto, and it’s now ready to be released. The book is written in Italian and french. It was born from a simple but persistent question: what happens after? After the last chord, after the applause, after the sound fades away.
In the penultimate chapter, this need becomes clearer: listening as a rare act today, almost a political one, in a world that keeps speaking, producing noise, and moving faster and faster. Writing this book was a way to slow down, to listen more carefully, to music, to others, and to myself, and to try to open a quiet space for those who feel the same need. The second book will come later, in spring. It’s a different journey, with a different shape, but born from the same search for meaning. Dopo l’ultimo accordo will be available soon on Amazon.
